You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and he won’t tell you that he loves
you, but he loves you. And you feel like you’ve done something terrible, like robbed a liquor store, or swallowed pills, or shoveled yourself a grave in the dirt, and you’re tired. You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and you’re trying not to tell him that you love him, and you’re trying to choke down the feeling, and you’re trembling, but he reaches over and he touches you, like a prayer for which no words exist, and you feel your heart taking root in your body, like you’ve discovered something you don’t even have a name for.

“Without warning, she asked me, ‘Hey, Watanabe, can you explain the difference between the English subjunctive present and the subjunctive past?’
‘I think I can,’ I said.
‘Let me ask you, then, what purpose does stuff like that serve in daily life?’
‘None at all,’ I said. ‘It may not serve any concrete purpose, but it does give you some kind of training to help you grasp things in general more systematically.’
Midori took a moment to give that some serious thought. ‘You’re amazing,’ she said. ‘That never occurred to me before. I always thought of things like the subjunctive case and differential calculus and chemical symbols as totally useless. A pain in the neck. So I’ve always ignored them. Now I have to wonder if my whole life has been a mistake’”

Some things:
♥ I have a GWA of 1.5! :D:D It’s the last weekend before school starts again, for the last time (well, hopefully! *crosses fingers*) :3. I’m not going to be melodramatic about it, so all I could resolve for is that I am going to document every single day of being there starting next week. I used to document my days a lot two years ago, from the morning I woke up until I fell asleep. I think being busy with a ton of shit has made me break the habit a little, but I’m planning on taking a couple hundred pictures a day again. :) Thank God for multiply (add me!).
♥ Yesterday, Neil and I discovered the perfeeeect Korean restaurant. I went to Seoul a few years ago and it’s embarrasing, but the first thing I loved about Korea was their food. Mehehehe :). The best thing about this restaurant was that they served free miso soup, refillable kimchi, and their wasabi was the authentic kind. Also, the cook/chef was korean :). It was Neil’s first time to try the dishes too, and I would love to post our lame touristy pictures here, but the only camera we had were analog ones.
♥ My parents gave me a car for my birthday. All week I did nothing but look for excuses to drive. I don’t have a name for it yet, though. Speaking of driving, I have my annual end-of-sembreak roadtrip with my highschool barkada tomorrow/later, I should probably sleep :P.

First of all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I have no film photographs to post because the whole week, I’ve been asleep in the mornings and awake at night. My body clock is messed up, but, hooray for sembreak birthdays! :)
Goodbye, October, you will always be my favorite month. You will always mean dancefloors, costume parties, good news and new beginnings. Cheers :)
Those stills above are part of a video! However, with all the pretty lights blinking, it’s hard to get a decent still :(. I love this video to death, though, and look! My eyes are their usual, round selves! Haha.

hello, november!
If there is no love in the world, we will make a new world, and we will give it walls, and we will furnish it with soft, red interiors, from the inside out, and give it a knocker that resonates like a diamond falling to a jeweller’s felt so that we should never hear it. Love me, because love doesn’t exist, and I have tried everything that does.

I feel like something beautiful is going to happen.
Sembreak is freedom for most of us; especially for me. I have so much love for the universe right now. Running on coffee and tv, late night shimmy shakes and laughter & togetherness & booze. I have new clothes and tomorrow, I am finally going to do something about my hair. Photoshoot on tuesday and a dance floor on thursday; pool parties and international movies. iamprettyexcited.
i hope you all have a spectacular sembreak; or a lovely october for most of you.
love and revolution,
toni.
